| | | Mrs. Mattye Faye Croney, age 93, of Widener, died Tuesday at her home in Widener. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Croney was born August 15, 1915, in Colt, and was the daughter of Walter Luttrell and Ada Bruton Luttrell. She lived in St. Francis County all of her life, was a housewife, a charter member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Croney married Irvin Croney in 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by one son, Larry Croney of Widener, one sister, Louise Mosley of Memphis, one grandchild, and a host of family and friends.
Services for Mrs. Croney will be held Graveside, 10:00 A.M., Saturday at the Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City. Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
