Mr. Gordon Ray Dearman, age 75, of Camden, died Thursday at his home in Camden. He had been in poor health for the past year and a half.

Mr. Dearman was born September 28, 1933, in Warren, Arkansas, and was the son of Marvin Leroy Dearman and Minnie Ray Dearman. He lived in Forrest City until moving to Camden, was retired from the sawmill industry, and attended the Elliott Baptist Church in Camden.

Mr. Dearman married Madlyn Higgs, in 1952, and she survives him along with one son and daugther-in-law, Gordon Ray Dearman Jr., and wife, Glenda, of Camden, one daughter, Mary Jo Dearman of Camden, four grandchildren; Jeremy Dearman, and wife, Jeni, Shelly Gilbert, and husband, Glenn, and Johnny Dearman, and wife, Emily, all of Camden, and Lyndy Wheelis, and husband, Phillip, of West Monroe, Louisiana, and ten great-grandchildren. He had one brother, Marvin L. Dearman, one sister, Lois Hankins, and one granddaughter, Brandi Lee Brigman, who all preceded him in death.

Services for Mr. Dearman will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Saturday, with burial in Hughes Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
