| | | Mr. John W. Carr Jr., age 77, of North Little Rock, died Friday at the Doctor's Hospital Hospice in Little Rock. He had been in poor health for the past two years.
Mr. Carr was born February 28, 1932, in Forrest City, and was the son of John W. Carr Sr. and Bessie W. Herrod Carr. He was a past resident of Tunica, Mississippi, was a Truck Driver for A.B.F. Teamster Local #878, was a Vereran of the Korean War, was a member of the V.F.W., a Master Mason, Scottish Rite, and was a Baptist.
Mr. Carr married Peggy Ward in 1953, and she survives him along with two sons; Terry Carr of Midland, Texas, and Tony Carr of Austin, Texas three daughters; Connie L. Bruno of Iuka, Mississippi, Kaye Ray of Memphis, and Pam Cannon of Midland, Texas, two brothers; Tommy D. Carr of Munford, Tennessee, and Charles M. Carr of Houston, Texas, one sister, Betty J. Smith of Paris, Tennessee, seven grandchildren; Bobby M. Williams III, Christy Bruno, Taryn Puckett, Kelsey Carr, Chase Puckett, Chad Carr, and Jacob Carr, three great-grandchildren; Terrell L. Rubin, J. J. Lawson, and L'Angelo Anderson. He had one grandchild, Carissa Carr, who preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Carr will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on the stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
