Mr. Skipper Compton, age 57, of Little Rock, died Monday sudden and unexpected.

Mr. Compton was born March 16, 1952, in California and was raised by E. M. Townes Compton and Ruby May Pillow Compton. He lived in Forrest City until moving to Little Rock, was in trucking, worked in the local package store, and was an avid Nascar Fan.

Mr. Compton married Van Gore in 1976, and she survives him along with one daughter, Melissa Rae Compton of Little Rock, one brother, Michael Kane of West Memphis, his mother, Anne Kane of West Memphis, and his maternal grandmother, Lois Nichols of West Memphis.

Services for Mr. Compton will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Thursday. Visitation will be from 1:00 till 2:00, before the service, at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
