| | | Mr. Collie Walker, age 65, of Forrest City, died Thursday at the Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City. His death came suddenly and unexpected.
Mr. Walker was born April 28, 1944, in Forrest City, and was the son of George P. Walker Jr. and Marian Childs Walker. He lived in Forrest City all of his life, was owner/operator of Walker Insurance, was co-owner of Walker Rice Realty, Graduated from the University of Arkansas, was a member of the Rotary Club, a Board Member of the East Arkansas Community College, and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Valley View Christian Church.
Mr. Walker married Claudette Wright in 1967, and she survives him along with two daughters; Ashley Walker Jones and Wesley Leigh Walker, both of Forrest City, one sister, Janet Dilday of North Little Rock, and two grandchildren; Walker Joseph Jones and Caroline Kathan Jones.
Services for Mr. Walker will be held at the First Baptist Church, 2:00 P.M., Sunday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
