| | | Mr. James Malcolm Patterson age 94, of Forrest City, Arkansas died Monday November 2, 2009.
Mr. Patterson was born September 17, 1915 in Blain, Mississippi. He was the son of Rufus Urban Patterson and Daisy Washburn Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a butcher, member of the First Christian Church and was a Veteran of the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Patterson married Mary Anita McCrary in 1941 and she preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by two daughters, Anita Sue Patterson Taylor and Betty Patterson Brinkley Geiger both of Forrest City; five grandchildren, Mary Alissa May Varnadoe, Darrel Wayne May, Russell Thomas, Rodney Brinkley and Steven Brinkley. Mr. Patterson is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held graveside at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
