Merlyn D. Bergen, 70, of Inman, KS, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Pleasant View Home, Inman, KS. Merlyn was born on June 10, 1939, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Arthur Melvin and Hilda Marjorie (Pauls) Bergen. He graduated from Haven High School. Merlyn had lived in Inman, KS for the past two years and was formerly of Newton, KS.
Merlyn was a member of the Zoar Mennonite Church in Inman, Kansas.
Survivors include: his mother, Hilda M. Bergen of McPherson, KS; brothers, Melvin R. Bergen and wife, Darlene, of Inman, KS and Gerald D. Bergen of Hewitt, TX; sister, Nadine Suderman of Kansas City, KS; six nieces and one nephew; and a host of friends and relatives. Merlyn was preceded in death by his father.
No services are planned in accordance with Merlyn’s wishes.
