Kevin Stockham, CFSP
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Kevin Stockham is a co-owner and licensed funeral director/embalmer of Stockham Family Funeral Home. He is a graduate of McPherson High School and Kansas City Kansas Community College and has lived in McPherson for nearly all his life. He is one a few Certified Funeral Service Practitioners in the state of Kansas. He is married to Tammie and has three children; Kyle, Korina, and Stevie. Kevin is active in his church and is involved in many community groups including Kiwanis, Sons of the American Legion, McPherson County Community Foundation, VFW Men's Auxiliary, McPherson Shrine Club, and the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.
Tammie Stockham
Funeral Director
Tammie is a licensed Funeral Director and co-owner of Stockham Family Funeral Home. She has been on staff since 1996; on a full-time basis since July 2001. Tammie has lived in McPherson most of her life and is a graduate of McPherson College. She is married to Kevin and they have a daughter, Stevie. Tammie is active in many community activities and serves on the board for the Humane Society, The Cedars, and Lincoln School PTO. She is also a member of The Free Methodist Church and PEO Sisterhood. She is also a past treasurer of Churches United in Ministry. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Shirley Horine-Knocke
Pre-Planning Specialist
Shirley (Horine) Knocke is the newest staff member at Stockham Family Funeral Home, joining the firm in 2008. She recently moved to McPherson from Wichita, where she worked at Downing & Lahey Mortuary. Shirley spent several years in the retail industry, where she performed duties ranging from store ownership, management, counseling, and more. As she contemplated her next career move, she envisioned a position where she could help those in need; a position that would make a difference in the lives of those she served. Funeral service would prove to be the perfect fit. Shirley delights in spending time with her son, Rich Davison, and his family, including two grandchildren. She is active in church and other community activities and organizations. As a pre-planning specialist, Shirley assists clients who are interested in advance funeral planning. She is available for a free consultation most any day of the week, including Saturdays. She can be reached at 620-241-2442 to schedule an appointment.
James Pauls
Aftercare Coordinator
James Pauls is the Aftercare Coordinator and part-time staff assistant for Stockham Family Funeral Home. He is originally from the Inman, KS area but has been a McPherson resident for many years. He is a retired music teacher for U.S.D. 418 and was also the Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church in McPherson. He is very active in his church and several other civic organizations. He is married to Rene and they have three grown children. As Aftercare Coordinator, Jim is responsible for following up with each family a few weeks after the funeral and offering whatever assistance is needed. Whenever possible, he makes a personal visit to the home of each family and delivers a special "Care Package", spending anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours visiting with them and addressing any concerns or questions that they may have.
Eddie Ball
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Eddie Ball is a licensed funeral director/embalmer and former owner of the firm. He has lived in McPherson nearly his entire life and is a McPherson College graduate. He is very active in the Noon Kiwanis Club, the First United Methodist Church, and numerous other community organizations. He is married to Peggy and has two grown children
