Svoboda Funeral Home offers the families we serve a choice of two very distinctive facilities for visitations and services. The South Chapel is located at 905 A Street and can comfortably seat about 100 family members and guest in the chapel and family room for services. The home like atmosphere is very
welcoming and provides a warm comfortable setting where it is easy to visit with family and friends.
We also use this facility to meet with families when making funeral arrangements because it contains our office and casket selection room.
The North Chapel is located at 2004 Colfax (Highway 15) and has a more church like atmosphere. It was built in 1970 as the Kucera-Rozanek Funeral Chapel. It was purchased by the Svoboda Funeral Home in 1992 when Gordon Kucera retired.
The facility is now used strictly as a chapel for services or visitations. The main chapel, including the family section, will comfortably seat 150 people.
The lounge can be used to serve coffee and cookies after services or just as a comfortable meeting area for families during visitations.
We are proud to have artwork of several local area artist displayed throughout both facilities. The South Chapel also is home to Dan's large collection of Schuyler memorabilia and he enjoys sharing it with anyone interested in antiques.
