| | | Olivia was born April 24, 1914 at Bancroft to Ferdinand and Emilie (Tietz) Leimer. She received her education at Zion Lutheran School rural Bancroft. On December 8, 1937 she married Ervin F. Haase t Zion Lutheran Church rural Bancroft and they farmed in the Bancroft area until 1958 when they moved to the Pender area to farm and then in 1981 they moved to Howells.
Olivia was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Howells and had worked at Bill's Food Mart in Howells. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, embroidering, camping, boating and just being outdoors. Olivia died
October 20th at the Fremont Area Medical Center surrounded by her family at the age of 95.
Olivia is survived by one son, Mervin (Doris) Haase of Howells; one daughter, Joan Jones of Wisner; seven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; five sisters, Elvira Tidwell of Houston, TX, Cora Soenksen of Pender, Luella
Canarsky of Harrison, AR, Elaine Schultz of Bancroft and Myrna Loy Rush of Columbia, SC.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin (died in Howells flood June 4, 1991); three sisters, Irene Kester, Loretta Wickert and Delores Greve; three brothers, Reinhardt Leimer, Rueben Leimer and Orville Leimer; two sons-in-law, Dallas Moeller and Frank Jones.
Funeral lunch will be served at the American Legion Club.
