| Clara Roy Hurles 1937-2009
Clara Roy Hurles was born on 7/7/1937 in Kittanning, PA but lived in Ohio most of her life. She was raised on a farm with 12 siblings, which explains her love of family. She left home after gaining a position as a switchboard operator at the phone company. Soon after she met and married Chauncey (Harp) Hurles. Ms. Hurles died of complications from emphysema at her home in Centerville, OH on Sunday, March 29, 2009. In addition to her parents, Charlie and Helen Broderick-Roy, she was preceded in passing by her siblings Eddie, Patrica, Dorothy and David. She is survived by her beloved husband Harp Hurles and her three children: Terri Madalinski (Paul), Kellie Murphy (Sean) and Doug Hurles (Robyn); her seven grandchildren Laura, Sara and Amy Madalinski, Courtney Murphy Huwer-Nurrenbrock (Christian), Ryan Murphy, and Kyle and Lucy Hurles; and one great grandchild Landon Huwer-Nurrenbrock. Her brother and sisters Chuck, Joanne, Janie, Beverly, Marjorie, Tommy, Mary, Robin. Clara loved visiting and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime was vacationing on the beach, whether in Florida or the Carolinas, while enjoying time with her husband, and her immediate and extended family. She traveled to attend family functions, even while ill, because for her, family came first. Before her passing, she wanted to express her gratitude to her family, Dr. Mariano Iberico MD, Dr. Tushar N. Shah MD, and all the staff at Pulmonary Medicine of Dayton, Ohio and PRIMED Cardiology of Dayton, Ohio. A memorial service will be 1 pm Wednesday April 1, 2009 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Friends may call from 12 noon to Service time at the funeral home.
