| Vivian “Vicki” Carlene Gilbertson, 69 of Union, OH, also known as “Sis”, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving daughters and family. She was born July 18, 1939 in Carmin, IL, she married Tom Gilbertson in Sandwich, MA and they had four daughters and were married for 29 years. Vicki is survived by four daughters, Caroline & Gary Dalton of Pleasant Grove, IA, Lorie Gilbertson of Union, OH, Nancy & Lance Schnedler of West Burlington, IA, Tommi Good of Union, OH; six brothers, Willis “Bud” & Judy Dowell of Lomax, IL, Jack & Ellen Dowell of Plains, MT, Bob & Sandy Dowell of Burnside, IL, Terry Dowell of Ft. Madison, IA, Gail Dowell of Mt. Rose, IA, Michael Dowell of Dallas City, IL, one sister Penny & Chad Monroe of Blandsville, IL; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil & Edna (Woods) Dowell and sister Susie Dowell. Vicki was the former owner/operator of Taco Johns in Burlington, IA. Her remains will be cremated and a private service was held at her home with her daughters by her side. Arrangements were entrusted to the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road.
