| CARLIN, Ralph E., “Gene” age 84, of Kettering passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Kettering Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice A. Carlin in 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Valerie & Randall Hester of Mansfield, OH, Pamela & Donald Henson of Kettering, OH, and Paula & Charles Beach of Parkersburg, WV; sister, Anita Linn of Midlothian, VA; brother Robert P. (Marjorie) Carlin of Bellville, OH; five grandchildren Laura, Lee & Matthew Hester and Ryan(Nyssa) & Joel Beach, and numerous other relatives and friends. Gene was a graduate of Fredericktown High School, Ohio University, and University of Michigan and an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and The TOM Club. Gene worked at Frigidaire and retired from Delco. Funeral service 11 am Wednesday April 22, 2009 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave with Pastor John Parent officiating. Graveside service 5 pm Wednesday at Shauck Cemetery in Johnsville, Ohio. Friends may call 9 -11 am Wednesday at the funeral home.
