Thomas Medford Braddy, 85, formerly of Elizabeth City, NC died Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Greensboro, NC. Mr. Braddy, a native of Pasquotank County, was the son of the late Thadeus Filmore Braddy and Annie Mary Messick Braddy and the husband of Frances Cornelius Braddy of the residence. He was a Tug Boat Captain, a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Greensboro, NC, and a former member of New Life Assembly of God in Elizabeth City, NC.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Marlene Braddy of Durham, NC, Darlene Augustine and husband John of Bayville, NJ, Melissa Griffith and husband Matt of Greensboro, NC; a son, Don Braddy and wife Margaret of Chester, VA; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clay Manos officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the World Vision, P.O.
