Wilma Dean Holt Walker, 82, of 214 Worth Guard Road, Coinjock, NC died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, NC. Born in Elizabeth City, NC, she was the daughter of the late Horace B. and Annie M. Dean Holt and was the widow of Mr. Wilber Joseph Walker. Mrs. Walker had worked as an office manager at Albemarle Hospital and as the practice manager at Dr. Eadie’s office for twenty-one years. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Coinjock Chapter 218, and to the Degree of Pocahontas, Matoaca Council 10.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her son, Mike Walker; her daughter, Susan Walker Sawyer and husband Kevin; and a grandson, Michael Scott Fenwick, all of Elizabeth City, NC.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Sawyer, 107 Schwarzkopf Drive, Elizabeth City, NC.
