Kathleen Boyd, 67, of Worthington, went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2007 in her family home. Kathleen was born on November 30, 1939, in Rome, Georgia, to Irene (McDonald) & Arlow Bobbitt. She graduated from Holks Bluff High School in 1958. Kathleen was a postal carrier & clerk for 23 years at the Worthington Post Office. She was a member of the White River Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
She loved flower gardening, photography, collecting baskets, stamps, fossils, coins and antique glassware.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Boyd, Worthington; one son, Barry Boyd, Worthington; one daughter, Connie (Kevin) Griffin, Worthington; two grand children, Aliza Kelly and Kristopher Boyd, four brothers: Charles, Jerry, Glenn, and Ricky Bobbitt all from Ballplay, Alabama, two sisters: Barbara Coulter, from Owen Crossroads, Alabama, and Carolyn Bobbitt, from Ballplay, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sibling infant twins.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 11:00 A. M., Thursday, October 25, 2007, Pastor Mike Hennie, White River Baptist Church, officiating.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4:00 to 8:00 P. M. Wednesday, and 9:00 A. M. Thursday, until time of service
Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
