| Roy H. Jewell, 92, Indianapolis formerly of Worthington passed away Wednesday, November 07, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove.
He was born January 16, 1915, in Calvertville, son of Ernest & Stacey (Barker) Jewell. He was retired from Belt Railroad in Indianapolis, with 30 years service. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Greene Lodge F. & A. M. #577, Lions Club, all in Worthington. Roy is survived by 5 children, Joanna (Jerry) Nelson, Texas; Robert (Helen) Jewell, Shreveport, LA; Herbert (Faye) Jewell, New Palestine, IN; Sarah (Steve) Franke, Indianapolis; Cathy (Floyd) Dunham, Indianapolis; daughter-in-law, Linda Jewell, Pendleton, IN; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hattie M. Jewell, September 28, 2006, one son, Ronald Jewell, one daughter, Susan K. Jewell, 2 brothers, Russell and Herbert Jewell. Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 2:00 P. M., Saturday, November 10, 2007, with Rev. Bill Beckelheimer, officiating.
