Margaret "Maggie Mae" Priest

Margaret “Maggie Mae” Priest, age 88, of Linton, passed away at 6:30 A.M. Thurs., Sept. 8, 2011, in Linton. She was born Dec. 30, 1922, in Linton, the daughter of William M. & Mary Belle (Wakeland) Snow.

She attended the Linton Assembly of God Church & formerly worked at Ballband in South Bend, during WW II making raincoats for the troops & at 3-D in Linton.

Survivors include two sons, Steve (Kathy) Priest & Jim (Sherri) Priest, both of Linton, a daughter, Peggy (Bill) Walker of Linton, a brother, Jim Snow of Linton, seven grandchildren, Heather (John) Yung, Cris (Claudia) Walker, Mike (Libby) Walker, Nathan Priest, Stephanie (Austin) Krebbs, Ricky (Amy) Templeton, & Josh (Rebecca) Templeton, thirteen great-grandchildren, Haley Yung, Cayden & Camryn Walker, Matthew Krebbs, William Krebbs, Bria, Parker, Trevor, Tucker, Crystal, Bryan, Katlyn, & Lydia Templeton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John H. Priest, May 6, 2008, a son, Herbert Grayson Priest, June 27, 2005, two brothers, Floyd & Houston Snow, & four sisters, Verda Young, Vera Templeton, Helen Engle, & Isabelle Carey.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 A.M. Sat., Sept. 10, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Friday & after 10 A.M. Saturday.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) through the funeral home.
