Betty June Prudhomme, age 76 of Linton, died on Saturday Morning, August 20, 2005, at the Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born in Linton on September 14, 1928, the daughter of Floyd S. & Margaret (McAtee) Cramer.
She was a 1947 Graduate of Linton-Stockton High School & after graduating from the Danville Beauty College in Danville, IL, worked as a hair stylist for forty years. She was an avid gardener, oil painter, fisherman, and participated in many 4th of July parades riding her Arabian horse.
She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton where she belonged to the St. Anne’s Alter Society. She served as a past Worthy Matron of the OES Lodge in Linton.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Prudhomme of Linton, her son & daughter-in-law, Andrew & Tawni Prudhomme of Linton, a daughter & her companion, Julia Kennedy & Kent Harting of Linton, three grandsons, Steve & Garrett Kaho, both of Linton, & Josh Prudhomme of Bloomington, a brother & sister-in-law, Floyd & Ruth Cramer of Linton, and her Alaskan Husky Dog, Lady Bug.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, James Ryan & Andrew Jared Prudhomme, and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, Father Hilary Vieck officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
A visitation will be held from on Monday from 5 to 9 P.M. with a Scripture Wake Service at 7:00 P.M., and from 9 to 9:45 A.M. on Tuesday.
