Phillip Key, 82, of Worthington passed away at 9:15 A. M. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Glenburn Home in Linton. He was born August 4, 1927 in Mishawaka to William & Elizabeth (Hullett) Key.
He was retired from NSWC Crane 1972 after 30 years service. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Fulford) Key, of Worthington; Son, Mark Key and wife Jill, Clarksville, TN; 2 daughters, Lisa Racine, Mooresville; Mary Ann Key, Spencer; 7 grandchildren, Nikki Scheerer, Brentt Skinner, Jilana Bond, Darren Key, Jessica Wills, Trevor Pattillo, and Nathan Racine; 7 great grandchildren, Trenton, Noah, Madison, Kyler, Zoie, Wyatt, and Marlayna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters, Debra Susan and Sanfra Lynn Key; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Service Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, Worthington 1:00 P. M. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, with Ted Fulford.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4:00 to 8:00 P. M. Friday, and 11:00 A. M. Saturday until time of service.
Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery
