 | G. Todd Walton Licensed Funeral Director / Owner Todd is a native of Linton, the son of Gary and Suette Walton, and the brother of Kerrie Stamm. He began working at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home at age sixteen, soon realizing his desire to be a part of the funeral profession. After graduating from Linton-Stockton High School in 1992, he enrolled in the Vincennes University Mortuary Science Program, graduating in 1995. He began working as an intern in May 1995, and a year later, became a licensed funeral director. Todd managed the Linton funeral home for several years. In January 2004, he and his wife, Cindy, along with Vern and Gia Spoor, purchased Welch & Cornett Funeral Homes in Linton and Worthington. He married Cindy Firkins, June 29, 1996, and they have three daughters, Allie, Aubrey, and Adalyn. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church, F.& A.M. Lodge #560, B.P.O. Elks #866, Rotary (Past President), Civitan (Past President), and the Sons of the American Legion, all of Linton. He also serves as a board member for the Greene County General Hospital Foundation. |  | Vern L. Spoor Licensed Funeral Director / Owner Vern was born in Fordsville, Kentucky to Elmer V. and Annis (Tuttle) Spoor. He graduated from Fordsville High School in 1966, then moved to Seymour in 1967 to work for Voss & Sons Funeral Service and to attend Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. He became a licensed funeral director in 1969. On November 15, 1969, Vern married Gia G. Baugh,the daughter of Cecil & Mildred (Brown) Baugh, in Holton, Indiana. On February 29, 1988, he began working for Welch & Cornett Funeral Homes in Worthington and Linton, assuming the position of manager at Worthington. On January 1, 2004, he and Gia, along with Todd and Cindy Walton, purchased the Welch & Cornett Funeral Homes. He is a member of the Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church and the Citizens Advisory Board of Worthington Family Medicine, former member of Seymour Jaycees, charter member of Seymour Sertoma Club, past president of Worthington-Jefferson Ruritan Club, and former member of the Worthington Town Council. Vern and Gia have a daughter, Kia, married to Jeff Dyar, a son, Lee Spoor, and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Bethanie Dyar. |  | Delmar C. Hasler Licensed Funeral Director / Past Owner Delmar is a Greene County, Indiana native. The Hasler family is one of the early settlers of Greene County. Delmar graduated from Switz City High School in 1944 and served in the U.S. Army Air-Corp during World War II. While on leave from the war, he married N. June Newsom of the Switz City area. After the war, he attended the Indiana College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 1948. He immediately began working for Harry Welch & Floyd Cornett, along with Marvin Taylor. He and Marvin purchased the business in 1965. The Hasler family owned the funeral home until 2004 when Todd Walton & Vern Spoor became the new owners. Delmar is a member of the Saron United Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the VFW Post #7118 & American Legion Post #22, a member of F. & A.M. Lodge #560, B.P.O. Elks #866, Moose Lodge,& the Rotary Club, all of Linton, the Scottish Rite & Shriners Club, both of Terre Haute, the Greene County Shrine Club, and the Knights of Pythias of Worthington. He remains an important part of the funeral home. During visitations or funeral services, there is a good chance that he will be at the door, as he has been for sixty-two years. |  | Betty M. Corbin Office Manager Betty is the daughter of Neal & Dorothy (Cole) Hobson. She graduated from Carlisle-Haddon High School in 1963 and attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri for two years. She married Larry Corbin, the son of Paul and Edna (Roush) Corbin, on November 23, 1968, in Bicknell, Indiana. They have two sons, Jon Christopher Corbin, married to Julie, and Aaron Michael Corbin, and two step-grandchildren, Stevie and Jerika Ellis. She and Larry are members of Lincoln Christian Church, and Betty is a member of the Willing Workers there. She worked at Peoples Trust Company in Linton for nine years before coming to Welch & Cornett on September 6, 1985, and considers it a privilege to serve the families who come to us. She enjoys her family, her church family, gardening, entertaining, and reading. |  | Gary A. West Part-time Staff Gary graduated from Woodward High School in Toledo, Ohio. He is a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany from 1961-1963. He married Elaine Bovenschen, August 16, 1963. They have two children, Tina and Rick, and six grandchildren. Gary retired from General Electric in 1994 and has been employed at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home since 1995. He and Elaine are members of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, where he was Commander of the AWANA Club for twenty-eight years. They have always been active in Gospel music, and Gary has formed "West & Friends", a country Gospel group. He is president of the Greene County Gospel Music Association. |  | Marion E. "Jeff" Rollison Licensed Funeral Director / Part-time Staff Jeff was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, but considers himself a native of Greene County, as his family moved to Worthington in 1928. He graduated from Worthington High School and then enlisted in the Army Air Force, serving in Italy from 1942-1945. He served as a radio operator on B-24 airplanes and logged several combat missions, including the crucial raids on the Polesti oil refineries. He is a decorated veteran, receiving an Air Medal, EAME Theater Ribbon of seven Battle Stars, and has received the title of Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He married Barbara Ball in 1946 and worked at the original Linton Motor Sales prior to selling Prudential Insurance. Jeff worked part-time at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in 1965, receiving his funeral director's license in 1969 after graduating from Indiana College of Mortuary Science. In 1978 he purchased McCollister Press and operated Rollison Printing for ten years. He now works part-time at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home assisting wherever he is needed. He has served as Stockton Township Assessor and is a member of Saron United Church of Christ, Past Master of Worthington Masonic Lodge, Past Exalted Ruler of Linton Elks Lodge #866, and a member of Linton Rotary Club and American Legion. He and Barbara are Chairmen of the WWII 459th Bomb Group Scholarship Committee which benefits numerous nationwide recipients. They enjoy attending the yearly reunion of this group. They have two daughters, Becky Enneking and her husband, Mike, of Tipton,and Jean Peacock and her husband, Mark, of Linton, two grandchildren, Tami and Matt Tebbe, and two great-greatgrandchildren, Jonathon and Alex. He enjoys antique furniture and cars, walking with his dog at the park, and hosting an annual 4th of July cookout. |  | Kenny R. Gillan Part-time Staff Kenny is a lifelong resident of Linton. He is the son of Reba Gillan and the late Robert Gillan, and the twin brother of Kathy Howell. He graduated from Linton High School in 1969. He went on to Manchester College where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1973. Kenny began his teaching career at the Linton Elementary School in the fall of 1973. In 1976 he earned a Master of Arts Degree at DePauw University. He went on to Indiana University where he earned an Educational Specialist Degree which included School Counseling and School Administration. Kenny completed his teaching, counseling, and administration career at the Linton Elementary School in the Spring of 2005. He began working at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home the winter of 2005.
Kenny is a member of the First United Methodist Church where he sings in the choir and in the mens quartet.
Kenny Married Beth Strickler in 1974. They have 2 sons, Bryce and Blaine, and a granddaughter, Paisley Rae.
