Theone Bernard, 78, Fargo, ND formerly of International Falls, MN, died on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 in her home.
Theone Christian was born on April 30, 1931 in Warroad, MN to Edward and Effie (Keeler) Christian. She grew up and graduated from high school in Warroad. Theone married Donald Bernard on Aug. 20, 1949 in Warroad. They later moved to Breckenridge, MN and in 1951, they made their home in International Falls, MN. Theone worked 17 years for the International Falls School District No. 361, as a cook in various schools. Mr. Bernard died on July 2, 1988. She moved to Fargo in August of 2004, where she resided until her death.
Theone was a very active member of First Lutheran Church in International Falls, she enjoyed knitting, curling, bowling, square dancing and the many activities her children were involved in. But most of all, Theone greatly loved the time she was able to spend with her family at the family cabin on Rainy Lake, MN.
She is survived by one son, Donald (Barbara) Bernard, Eagle River, AK; two daughters, Effie (James) Blubaugh, Victorville, CA, Tonya (Bob) Omdahl, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Lara (Jon-Erik) Storm, Hans Bernard (Gregg Suits) and Steffen Bernard; three brothers, Gordon (Emma) Christian, Roger (Jean) Christian and Bill (Carol) Christian all of Warroad, MN; one sister, Sharon (Al) Ausman, Seattle, WA.
Theone was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister and brother-in-law, Ramona (Ted) Wilson.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 with a prayer service at 7 in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND and one hour before the service in the church.
Funeral Service: Thursday, Oct 15, 2009 at 11 in Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo, ND.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Warroad, MN.
