    Our staff at West Funeral Home is caring, experienced, and professional.  We understand that each family is unique and has personal requests, and these requests are of the utmost importance to us. Below is a listing of our full and part-time staff.Our professional staff is always available for assistance, whether our services are needed before the funeral, at the time of need, or after the funeral is concluded.  Our licensed staff is trained and re-educated through the National Funeral Directors Association, North Dakota Funeral Directors Association, and Minnesota Funeral Directors Association.

William West
Licensed Funeral Director and Owner of West Funeral Home
William (Bill) joined the family business in 1970 following his discharge from the Army. Prior to military service, Bill had attended the University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University before graduating from the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1969. Bill married Flora McIntyre of Prosper, North Dakota in 1972. They made their home in Casselton until 1974, when they moved to West Fargo and established a new funeral home. In 1979, Bill and Flora purchased the Casselton funeral home from Bill's father and began operating both locations as West Funeral Homes, Inc. Thirty years after establishing the West Fargo location, Bill and Flora remodeled the facility and added an additional 6,500 square feet. Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Flora, four children Brooks, Andrew, Ivy and Medora, golfing and hunting.
Flora West
Funeral Home Owner
Flora grew up in rural Prosper, ND. She graduated from West Fargo High School. She attended college at MSUM, earning a Bachelor's of Science in Mass Communications, with a minor in Speech. In 1972, Flora married Bill. Flora also earned a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Mary and for the last 19 years, has taught at Minnesota State Community and Techinical College.
Kirk D. Carlson
Licensed Funeral Director
Kirk grew up in Devils Lake, ND. He attended NDSU and graduated from University of Minnesota School of Mortuary Science in 1992. Kirk has worked with West Funeral Home since 1993. He lives in West Fargo with his wife Christi, and sons Zachary, Dillon and Nicholas and their dog Macy. Kirk is active with West Fargo Hockey Association and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Craig W. Olson
Licensed Funeral Director
Craig was born and raised between Argusville and Arthur, ND. He graduated from Dakota High School in Arthur. In 1994, he recieved a Bachelors Degree in Business Adminstration and minor in Economics from NDSU in Fargo. He went on to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where he graduated with high honors in Mortuary Science. In 1997, he returned to the area to work for his uncle at the West Funeral Home. Craig is currently serving the National Funeral Directors Association as a member of the Professional Conduct Committee and the Member Resource Advisory Group. Locally he is treasurer of his church and member of the Fargo Jaycees. He also is a Past President of the North Dakota Funeral Directors Association, a past West Fargo Chamber Ambassador, Past President of the Fargo Jaycees, and a member the North Dakota Jaycees Convention Committee. He was honored with the highest recognition in the North Dakota Jaycees that being a "Roughrider." In May of 2009, Craig was bestowed upon the prestigious "Ambassador" Award from the United States Jaycees. Craig recently got married to Laura Harthan in August of 2009. They along with their dog, Calie live in West Fargo. He enjoys singing at local functions, working on the family farm and spending time with family among other hobbies.
Naomi Bradbury-Marchand
Family Service Coordinator and Certified Preplanning Consult
Naomi grew up in Minnesota and attended Moorhead State University. While working as a Social Service Worker for Nebraska Health and Human Services, she received her training in funeral business and family services at Omaha, NE. Moving to Fargo in 2000, Naomi and her husband Charles live in the Hawthorne Neighborhood in Fargo. They have two sons, two daughters and one granddaughter. She is active in the Hawthorne Neighborhood Association, is a board member of the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, Guardian and Protective Services and is a member of Fargo West Rotary.
Medora West-Roehl
Office Manager
Medora grew up in West Fargo, graduating from West Fargo High School in 2002. She attended UND and graduated from NDSU in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Medora married Benjamin Roehl and they make their home in West Fargo. In February they welcomed a daughter, Lydia Caroline, to the family. They enjoy spending time with their family, friends and Miniature American Eskimos, Charlie & Digger.
