Joe T. Speight “Poppie”, 79, of Hickory Plains, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with family members at his side on July 22, 2009. He was born August 19, 1929, to James W. and Ella Speight. Joe served two years in the Korean Conflict, and was a lifetime dairy and cattle farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charlie and Bill Speight, and a sister, Mary Walters.

Joe is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Margie; three daughters, Marilyn Bramlette (Wayne) of Cabot, Susan Waller (Joe) of Hickory Plains and Nancy Bass (C.L.) of Beebe; brother Marvin Speight (Geraldine) of Hickory Plains; and grandchildren, Jason Bramlette, Brandi Reynolds (Lance), Sara Waller, Emily Bass and Jordon Bass.
