Ralph “Dick” Franklin 87 of Spencer died Tuesday at the Bloomington hospital. Born January 4, 1918 in Owen County to Fred and Freda ( Thompson) Franklin. He was owner of Franklin T.V. and appliances in Spencer several years. He was a member of the Spencer Christian Church, Spencer Conservation Club and a member and past master of the Spencer Masonic Lodge. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1936.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law Don and Donna Franklin of Scottsdale Az., two daughters and sons-in-law Carolyn and Don Dayhuff of Spencer, and Nancy and Robert Oberholtzer of Martinsville. Four sisters Irene Wood, Lois Baker and Patty Woolard of Spencer, and Marilyn Patrick of Bowling Green, Ky. He preceded in death by his wife Audrey (Millsap) Franklin in March 2003, his parents, two brothers James Franklin and Alan Franklin, and one great grandson. Funeral services will be Saturday Aug. 6, 2005, 2:00 P.M. at West & Parrish & Pedigo
Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 until service time. Pastor Robert Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery
