John B. Andrews, 71, of Bloomington, died Saturday September 17, at Owen Valley Health Campus. Born May 9, 1934 in Bloomington to Henry and Nora (Johnson) Andrews. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korean, he was an ordinance worker at Crane, and a graduate of University High School. Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law John H. and Rebecca Andrews of Spencer and one daughter and son-in-law Susie Andrews and Don Hooper of Johns Island, South Carolina, one sister Helen Newhouse of New York and one sister-in-law Peggy Andrews of Bloomington, and six grandchildren and many good friends and neighbors too numerous to list. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bob Andrews. John went home to be with the Lord after suffering wit A.L.S., commonly knows as Lou Gehreg’s desease. It was John’s wishes to cremated and to have a “going home” celebration service. Memorial contributions may be made to A.L.S. % of the funeral home.
