| | | Ralph A. Fiscus, 78 of Spencer, died March 29, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Owen County, March 16, 1928 to Arthur P. and Mildred E. (Hamann) Fiscus. Ralph retired from the Herald Times newspaper in 1984. He was of the Methodist Faith. He was an Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Lola (Long) Fiscus, one son Paul Fiscus and wife Linda of Spencer, four daughters Dee and Roy McRoberts of Solsberry, Katherine and Tom Ragle of Ellettsville, Carol and Bradley Rood of Spencer, and Mary L. Fiscus of Bloomington, one half-brother Michael Haltom of Spencer, fifteen grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by both parents, his brothers Donald Wayne Fiscus, Leon Fiscus, Donald Clayton Fiscus, Harold Fiscus, and Richard Fiscus, one sister Bernice Martindale, and one grandson Israel Kane Rood.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2006 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.with Roy McRoberts will officiate. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery with military graveside services provided by Spencer American Legion and Spencer VFW. Visitation will be Friday March 31, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Funeral Home.
