Ruth E. Davis, 103, of Gosport passed away at the Gosport Nursing Home Saturday, September 30, 2006.
She was born May 8, 1903 in Cory, Indiana to John and Nancy (Lucker) Donham.
She was a homemaker, gardener, baker, quilter, member of a card club, and active in Mother’s of WW II. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Ruth is survived by her sons Jack A. Davis of Bloomington, Daniel, Jr., Davis, and daughter-in-law, Myar Davis of Spencer, four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Elsie, Lance and DC, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Two nieces Ruth Greene, Thelma Kratzer and one nephew Harold Maesch all of Staunton also survive. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel C. Davis Sr. in 1995, daughter-in-law Glora Davis, three sisters Laura Barrett, Elsie Marie Rowe, Elvie Donham and two great grandchildren Zachary Davis and Daniel Davis.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 2, 2006 at 11:00 A. M. at Chambersville Cemetery with Pastor Shannon Benham officiating.
West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangments.
