Betty L. Decker 84 of Spencer passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Bloomington Hospital. She was born June 19, 1922 in San Luis Obispo, CA to Clarence and Lula (Irvin) Cooper. Betty graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School, was a member of the Spencer Eastern Star, Spencer Baptist Church, and was the managed of the J&B Shoe Store in Spencer. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Bob and Brenda Decker of Spencer, and one daughter Pam Decker of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James D. Decker in 2003, and a son James Ronald Decker in 1999.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, with Rev. Edward Grams officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to MDA for ALS Research c/o the funeral home.
