| | | Betty Jean Duncan 78, of Spencer, passed away Friday, January 5, 2007, at her residence. Betty was born April 22, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Noah Daniel and Freda (Hill) Hutchison. Betty was a homemaker and loving mother. She had graduated from Ben Davis High School, in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Spencer Baptist Church, and had been a member of the Lynhurst Babtist Church in Indianapolis. Betty belonged to the Progressive Homemakers Club, The Missionary Society Club at church, and had taught Sunday School, and Bible School. Betty was married to Forrest W. Duncan, who passed away in 1996. She is survived by one son Randy (Cheryl Sparks) Duncan of Spencer, and one daughter Karen (Mike) Newport of Spencer, two brothers Robert Hutchison of Indianapolis, and Richard Hutchison of Jay, Florida, and one grandson. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, one infant brother, and one sister. Funeral services will be 1:00P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, the Reverend Shannon Benham will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation will be on Monday, January 8, beginning at 4:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to the Firs Baptist Church in Spencer.
