Dorothy Lucille Harreld went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2009 at 5am. Dorothy was a resident of Owen Valley Health Campus, Spencer, Indiana, for the past 6 years. Dorothy was born July 19, 1922 in Marion, Indiana. She was the 4th of 8 children. Her parents were the late Robert Romine and Cleo (Croussore) Roesly Romine
After the death of her parents she and her younger siblings lived in the Indiana Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home, Knightstown Indiana. After leaving the Children’s Home she moved back to the Marion area where she met and married William Harreld, Jr. on July 20, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1986. During her married years Dorothy and William (Bud) resided in LaFontaine and Indianapolis Indiana. After their retirement they moved to Spencer.
Dorothy was employed at Farnsworth Television and Radio Corp, Marion, IN. After moving to Spencer she was a health care-giver and driver for others. She loved helping others. She was very dedicated to her family and in her younger years loved to cook.
She is survived by a sister, Marian E. Gause, Marion, Indiana and brother, James Romine of Grant Michigan, Three granddaughters and three generations of nieces and nephews.
Preceded her in death are her parents, husband, son William R. Harreld, bothers Charles Roesly, William Romine, Robert Romine, sisters Esther Klein, and Velma Harter.
There will be no services. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery.
Arrangements were conducted by West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, IN.
