Wilma Thatcher, 90 of Spencer, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 at The Residence at McCormick's Creek in Spencer. She was born April 25, 1918 in Bertrand, Nebraska to Harry and Ida Mae (Hunt) Keefover. Wilma retired from RCA in Bloomington in 1978 as an inspector. She was a member of the Vandalia Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Mrs. Thatcher is survived by her son David Thatcher and companion, Marcella Brinson and a daughter Trudy Jamison and husband Terry Jamison all of Spencer, a sister Belle Galimore of Delphi, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Claude Thatcher in 2004, and two brothers Clarence Keefoer and Ordell "Shorty" Keefover.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastor Kevin Albert and Denny Livingston will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Bethel Cemetery in Owen County. Visitation will be Monday, 4-8 pm and 9am until service time on Tuesday.
