SPENCER, IN 47460 812-829-2791 812-829-8812 (FAX) Charles “Charlie” McBride, 76, of Spencer passed away at his residence, Saturday, April 18, 2009. He was born January 4, 1933 in Owen County, IN to Charles and Vina (Arthur) McBride. He was a graduate of Freedom High School. Charlie was an Army veteran. He retired from the I.U. Physical plant in the late 1980’s. He was a former treasurer of Owen County Senior Friends. Charles is survived by his son John (Christi) McBride, and three grandsons, Patrick, Christopher and Nicholas all of Bloomington. He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane (Asher) McBride, brother, Clarence McBride, five sisters Norma Neumeyer, Juel McCollum, Mary Johnson, Leona Walker, and Ann Lee Bradbury. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Rev. Bob Whitaker will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
