He was born in, Bloomington, IN to Charles and Velma (Hendricks) Hamm on April 16, 1928. He was a worker at a quarry where he was a stone cutter. Louie was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed gardening. Mr. Hamm is survived by a son David (DeeAnn) Hamm of Ellettsville, two stepsons Frank Boruff (Bonnie) of Ellettsville, Walter Boruff of Spencer, five brothers, Robert Hamm, Joe Hamm, Don Hamm, Harold Hamm, and Archie Hamm, three sisters Sharon Ludwig, Wilma James, and Barbara Porter two grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude (Greenwood) Hamm, his parents, two brothers Charles Hamm Jr., and Jerry Hamm, and two sisters Louise Edwards and Juanita Pless Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2009 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.
