Kim Lee Job of Thousand Palms, California, formerly of Spencer, died at age 67 on July 4, 2009, after several years of failing health. After graduating from Spencer High School in 1959 Kim joined the U.S. Navy and served until July 1962, receiving an honorable discharge. Kim then pursued a career in banking and finance, spending some 37 years in various banks in Southern California, retiring in 2001. He then purchased a business in Indio, California and was operating it until his death.
Survivors include a son, Sean Job of Bellingham, Washington; two daughters, Tami Parker of Dallas, Georgia and Michele (Keith) Pirkle of Cartersville, Georgia, and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Joseph (Doris) Job of San Diego, CA, Hal (Rosemary) Job of Wabash, IN, Van (Elizabeth) Job of Ferndale, WA, and a sister Gaye (Charles) Laffey of Aurora, IL.
Kim was preceded in death by a son, Greg Job, a sister, Joyce Ann Job and his parents, Elvin and Gertrude Job.
A memorial service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, IN on August 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service. Military graveside services will follow at Combs Cemetery in Quincy, IN.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
