Maegerlein, 71 of Spencer, passed away October 11, 2009 at Owen Valley Health Campus. He was born April 30, 1938 in Bowling Green, Indiana to Loren and Althea (Orman) Maegerlein. Bob graduated from Patricksburg High School in 1956. He was a self-employed carpenter and also worked for Bowen Construction in Bloomington retiring in 2003. He was a member of the former St. John Lutheran Church in Patricksburg, and the Spencer Moose Lodge. Bob enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and building and riding dune buggies. He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Ridgeway) Maegerlein whom he married in 2001, a son, Robert Maegerlein of Freedom, two daughters, Melanie Church of Brazil and Angie Keith of Spencer, stepsons Derik Robertson of Mitchell and Charles Burleson of Solsberry, two stepdaughters, Melissa Criss of Spencer and Lisa Woods of Bloomfield, a brother, Paul Maegerlein of Spencer, a sister, Sandy Smith of Bloomington, six grandchildren and seven step grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. until funeral time on Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Research in care of the funeral home.
