Dorothy A. Honn, 85, of Spencer passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1924 in Owen County to Wilbur Ewing and Ora (Beghtel) Mitten. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Honn was a cashier at Spencer IGA, a clerk at Galyan’s in Plainfield, retiring in the 1970’s and a homemaker who enjoyed baking. “Motherhood; all love begins and ends there”.
Mrs. Honn is survived by sons, Ric Hahn (Ricardo A. Sierra) of Bloomington and Paul “Edd” (Lana) Honn of Bowling Green, two grandsons, Brad (Lindy) Honn and Brett (Birgitte) Honn and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 2007, Charles John Honn, two brothers, Harland Mitten, Charles Lester Mitten, and four sisters, Violet Arney, Mary Fulk, Hazel Mitten and Sara Blubaugh.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2009, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Scott Herrington will officiate. Burial will follow at Mr. Zion cemetery near Bowling Green. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bloomington Hospice, Olcott Center in Bloomington or the Patricksburg Volunteer Fire Department.
