Steve & Becky Pedigo
Owners
Steve and Becky are natives of Frankfort, Indiana. Steve began working at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort at the age of sixteen. After graduating from Frankfort High School in 1969, he joined the Army Reserve. He began working for the J.C. Wilson Funeral Home in Indianapolis in 1971 while he attended Indiana College of Mortuary Science. After graduating from Mortuary College he and Becky where married in 1973. They have two children, Jill Emmons, husband John, Ryan Pedigo, and a grandson Matthew Emmons. Steve came to Spencer in August 1977 and went to work for Arthur and Steve Parrish, and became a partner in 1979. Becky joined the firm on a full time basis in 1982. They both belong to the Spencer United Methodist Church. Steve also was a charter member of Spencer Exchange Club, Spencer Masonic Lodge #95, a Director at the Owen County State Bank, Past President of the Owen County Sheriff's Merit Board, Past President of Riverside Cemetery Board, and was involved with the Owen County Coroners Office for several years.
Steve & Alice Parrish
Owners
Steve Parrish is the son of the late Arthur and Ella Mae (West) Parrish. The fourth generation of what is now known as the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Steve joined the family business in 1964, after serving his country in the United States Air Force. He graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1963. Alice, who is the daughter of the late Roma Wilson, joined the funeral home on a full time basis in 1977. She previously aquired her beautician's license, and had her own business in Spencer. Steve and Alice have two children. Shawn Parrish, wife Amy, and two daughters, of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Mindy (Parrish) Sieradzan, husband Ray, and two daughters, of Light House Point, Florida. Update: For those of you who have not heard, or read the Evening World, there has been a change in staff at the Funeral Home. On December 24, 2006, Steve and Alice officially retired from their duties at West & Parrish & Pedigo. We are excited for them to enjoy their retirement. Although they are officially retired, they will be helping us out when needed. We would like to give our best to Steve and Alice, and encourage you to send them a note through our email.
Patrick Day
Funeral Director
Patrick Day, native of Frankfort, Indiana, joined the staff October 2007. Pat graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1997. He then attended Purdue University in West Lafayette. In 2003, he enrolled in Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL and graduated in 2004. While in mortuary school, Pat worked for Wenban Funeral Home in Lake Forest, IL. After graduation, he moved back to West Lafayette and worked for Soller-Baker Funeral Homes of Lafayette before moving to Spencer in 2007. Patrick is a member of the Spencer Lions Club, and attends St. Jude Catholic Church.
Daniel Browning
Funeral Assistant
Daniel, a native of Spencer, IN, joined the staff in April of 2007. Before joining the funeral home, Daniel worked at the Owen County Security Center. He also has his own locksmith company, Browning Lockout Specialist. Daniel is a Deacon and Children’s Pastor of McCormick’s Creek Pentecostal Church. He serves as a volunteer on the Owen Valley Fire Department and the County Rescue Team. He also is an appointed representative on the Town Planning Commission and current president on the Board of Zoning Appeals.
