| | | E. C. Norris, age 71, of Batesville, Arkansas died Monday, May 17, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born on April 17, 1939 in Newark, Arkansas to Isaac Norris and Doris Vickers Norris. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora “Pete” Norris; his parents; one brother; one infant brother; two infant sisters; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
E. C. is survived by his fiance, Gypsy Rose Qualls; one son, Jimmy Norris of Batesville, Arkansas; two step-sons, Howard Abernathy and Delbert Patterson, both of Cave City, Arkansas; three daughters, Denise Van Winkle of Batesville, Arkansas, Stacey Downs of Pfeiffer, Arkansas, and Felicia Norris of Cord, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Lori Riggs of Cave City, Arkansas, and Heather Joslin of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; two sisters, Elvona Bonner of Scott, Arkansas, and Della Mae Frausto of Redfield, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren, Tabatha Barnes, Jimmy Norris Jr., Darlene Siau, Lisa Van Winkle, Stephanie Pittman, Cody Downs, Michael Shane George, Matthew Norris, Jerry Wayne Riggs, Michelle George, Eric Byrd, BayLee George, Jacob Norris Byrd, Justin Joslin, Zachery Abernathy, Jacob Joslin, Charity Abernathy, and Kelvin Downs Jr.; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
