| Eric Gene Brashers, age 38, of Batesville, Arkansas died Friday, October 30, 2009. He was born on May 25, 1971 in Batesville, he was the son of Jimmy and Joann Brashers.
He worked 6 years at Atlas Asphalt, he worked as a logger for many years with family and friends and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was an avid hunter, fisherman who loved to cook and loved the outdoors and doing things with his family and friends. Family always came first. He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Joann Brashers of Batesville; his former wife and mother of his children, Beverly Brashers; one son, J.B. Brashers; one daughter, Jodi Beth Brashers all of Batesville; one sister, Margaret Harmon and her husband, Tim of Cushman; one niece, Autumn Jones and her husband, Jason of Batesville; one nephew, Tyler Harmon of Fayetteville; one great nephew, Ian Jones of Batesville; several aunts and uncles, Larry and Marilyn Cooley of Mt. Pleasant, Geraldine and David Holt of Batesville, Agness and William Ingram of Bethesda, Linda and Larry Copeland of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia Sifford of Magness, Mary and Terry Weaver of Sulphur Rock, Terri and Jimmy Rudd of Magness and Lisa Cooley of St. Charles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.B. and Ester Brashers, Joseph and Anna Mae Cooley; one aunt, Carolyn Cooley Brown; one uncle, Leroy Cooley and two cousins, Andrew Rudd and Sydney Rudd. Services will be Wednesday, November 4, 11:00 a.m., at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville. Interment will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Bethesda under the direction of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. Pallbearers will be Jamie Ingram, Joseph Ingram, Jason Holt, Cody Roach, Michael Sutterfield, Wesley Cooley, Wade Cooley, Sam Cooley, Terry Brown and Ryan Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Reddock, Jerry Hudson, Herbert Hudson, Bryson Neeley, Mark Lambert and all of the employees of Atlas Asphalt. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. | ||
