Reggie Dale Barber, age 61, of Batesville, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in his home. He was born October 26, 1950 in Floral, the son of Elvin Barber and Ethel Creech Barber. Reggie was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of Hutchison Mountain Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers: Gerald Barber, Burnis (Tom) Barber, Boyce Barber, Teral Barber; and a sister, Betty Knatcal. Survivors include his wife, Janie Inman Barber of the home; a son, Joey Barber of Floral; a daughter, Regina Barber Doane and husband Robert of Jonesboro; 3 brothers Charles of Jonesboro, Billy of North Carolina and Lannie of Batesville; 4 sisters: Lois Weakley of Pleasant Plains, Vida Via of Southside, Donna Ramsey of Floral, and Sherry Fausnaugh of Jonesboro; and a granddaughter Rain Ethel Doane. Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 27, 2012 at Hutchison Mountain Church of Christ with Floyd Rine officiating under the direction of Willis Funeral Service. Burial will immediately follow the service at Palestine Cemetery in Hutchison Mountain. Pallbearers will be B.L. Barber, Jeff Barber, Robert Barber, John Via Jr., Nathan Ramsey, and Jared Barber. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Boles, Tommy Boles, Richie Tosh, Trenton Tosh, Colton Tharp, Jerry Bowen, Bill McAdams, Pete Estep, and Paul Valner.
