In 1962, Richard (Dick) and Dorothy Wing purchased Nerison Furniture and Funeral Service from Carl Nerison. Dick was a graduate of the College of Mortuary Science and had years of experience with such notable firms as Werness Brothers in Minneapolis, MN.

Eventually, Dick and Dorothy sold the furniture business and relocated to the present location at 5th and Black Oak Avenue. The building itself having been remodeled to accommodate the funeral business as well as a private family dwelling. They raised their three children- Beth, Rick & Cynthia in the funeral home and moved to a private residence in the mid 80s.

Everett also graduated from the University of MN College of Mortuary Science. Dick and Everett purchased the Hamre Funeral Home in Granite Falls, MN in 1982 and in the early 90s, Everett and Cynthia purchased and maintain controlling interest in all three funeral home locations.
